# Review identity documents

> The Document Check card: documents, selfie and liveness, provider checks, and your per-document review.

**Document Check** appears when the identity provider captured documents for the subject. Images are served from Frayme's private store through short-lived links.

  **Screenshots pending.** This card only renders with a connected identity provider such as Sumsub, which the environment these guides were captured on does not have. The steps below are documented from the current interface and will get screenshots at the next capture on a connected tenant.

## Documents

The **Documents** tab shows each captured document with its type, country, number, validity, date of birth and the fields the provider extracted, with the image beside them.

## Selfie and liveness

The **Selfie & Liveness** tab shows the selfie capture and the liveness and face-match verdicts. It is hidden on KYB cases unless verdicts exist.

## Provider checks

**Show trail** expands the provider's own verification trail for the captured documents: which verifiers ran and what each concluded. **Hide trail** collapses it again.

## Record a per-document review

With the case claimed, each document has an **Analyst review** control. **Approve** or **Decline** it; declining opens a note field (up to 500 characters) and **Confirm decline**. Once reviewed, only the opposite verdict is offered (**Approve instead** / **Decline instead**). Each verdict is written to the timeline as **Document reviewed**.

## How document reviews relate to the case decision

Document verdicts do not decide the case. They record your assessment of the evidence; the case decision is still **Approve** or **Decline** in the decision rail.
