# Team (view)

> Engineers can see the team and its roles but do not manage them.

The engineer template includes `team:read`, so **Team** opens read-only: members, their roles and the scopes each role grants. Use it to check what an analyst will see before you declare a **Custom action** on a Review node or route a flow to a queue restricted to certain roles.

  You can open **Team** because your role holds `team:read`. The **Invite Member**, **Create Role** and row menus still render, but the server rejects any change from a role without `team:write` or `roles:write`. Ask a manager to change roles or invite people.
