# Copy, paste, import and export nodes

> Move nodes between flows and environments with the clipboard or a file, and fix what needs attention after a paste.

## What is exported

A selection of nodes (or the whole flow when nothing is selected) with their edges, as a JSON file named `<flow>.frayme-nodes.json`. It is a fragment, not a whole workflow: importing it adds nodes to the current draft.

## Copy, cut, paste

`⌘C`, `⌘X` and `⌘V` work on the canvas, also across flows and across environments. The toast tells you how many nodes were pasted and, when they came from another environment, from where.

## Export to file, import from file

**Export to file** downloads the fragment; **Import from file** adds a fragment to the canvas. A file that is not a Frayme export is refused: **That file isn't a Frayme workflow-nodes export**.

## Secrets are redacted

Credentials and secret headers are replaced by `«redacted-on-export»` on export. After import the node carries a badge until you enter the value again.

## Fix "needs attention" nodes

A paste that references things this tenant does not have shows **Pasted n nodes — m need attention** and lists them: a provider that is not connected, a webhook config, a review queue, a communication template or a callable flow that does not exist here, or a redacted secret. Open each badged node and re-point it.
