# Review

> Pause the flow in a review queue until an analyst acts or the timeout elapses.

Type `review`. A branching gate, not a terminal: each outcome must still reach Approve, Deny or Output.

## Fields

| Field               | Meaning                                                                                    |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Queue**           | A queue from **Settings → Queues**; a missing queue blocks activation                      |
| **Timeout (hours)** | After this the **timeout** outcome fires (default 24)                                      |
| **Risk score**      | Number or expression shown to analysts as the case score                                   |
| **Custom actions**  | Extra outcomes shown under **Workflow actions** in the console; each is an outgoing handle |

## Outcomes

`approve`, `deny`, `timeout` and one handle per custom action. Every handle must be wired or activation is refused. The analyst's decision and any note are written to `vars.review` for downstream nodes.

## What the analyst sees

The case in the Decision Queue with the risk score you set, and in the console the decision rail with **Approve**, **Decline**, **Request Information** and your custom actions. See [Approve, decline or run a workflow action](/guides/analyst/console-decide).
