# Script

> Run a Starlark script against the case context.

Type `script`.

| Field               | Meaning                                                        |
| ------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Starlark script** | Set `output` to a dict; it is stored under the output variable |
| **Output variable** | Default `result`                                               |
| **Timeout (s)**     | Default 30                                                     |

A raised error fails the run; the failing step and message show in Execution history. Scripts are skipped on dry runs only when a mock value is pinned for the node.
